I recently visited New York with the goals of experiencing the city as a local. I had 3 days to fit in a lot! So much good food, coffee and experiences. Most of these finds won't be revolutionary but they made for a wonder couple of days in the city!
Food:
- Kossar's Bagels & Bialys - pile on the toppings!
- Nomad bar- sit at the bar and get the burger!
- Prince street pizza - make sure this is after midnight.. it will taste better! lol
- Halal Guys - street food
- Los Tacos No. 1 in Chelsea market- order your taco "especial"!
- Estela - Dinner
- Mughlai - Indian
- Momofuku Noodle Bar (the Ramon is worth the wait)
- Golden Unicorn - Dim Sum
- Eataly
Coffee:
- Irving coffee
- Think coffee- Spanish latte
- Sunday Surf
- Birch Coffee
Dessert:
- Milkbar - Ice cream
- Arcade bakery
- Hot Chocolate at the Waldorf Astoria
Things to do:
- The Wythe hotel - city view
- Highline park
- Brooklyn Bridge park (and of course walk the Bridge)
- Dumbo under pass - check for events
- Walk around central Park
- MoMA - there are free nights (warning: it will be PACKED!)
- Metropolitan Museum of Art
- Walk Time Square at night (touristy, I know)
- The Peoples Improv Theater
